This session introduces students to how films create meaning through camera work. Using the clear and practical film analytical tools, we look at how filmmakers choose framing, camera movement, focus, and composition and how these choices shape what we feel and understand in a scene. We explore examples from well‑known directors' films and learn to “read” a film visually, even without prior experience. The lecture is hands‑on, accessible, and ideal for anyone curious about how movies actually work behind the scenes.
